Loren Aragon, from the Acoma Pueblo, New Mexico, is a Native American fashion designer and multimedia artist. He grew up on the Acoma reservation surrounded by family, art, and traditions. Aragon was influenced by the pottery his grandmothers made, garments by his aunt, and jewelry making from his uncle. His mother was especially influential on his artistic journey as she was an artist, a seamstress, and teacher. His grandfather encouraged his educational career and inspired him to study science and technology. 

In 2004, Aragon graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. While working as an engineer, Aragon was inspired by the technology he used in his profession and began to incorporate it into his art. As he emerged into the Native American arts scene, he began to re-explore his artistic roots and the use of modern techniques to re-imagine traditional designs of the Acoma Pueblo people and create illustration, sculpture, jewelry, and fashion design. 

In 2016 Aragon co-founded ACONAV in Phoenix, AZ, a fashion brand celebrating the strength and empowerment of all women. Under the ACONAV brand, Aragon has showcased collections, culturally fueled by the traditional pottery art and shareable beliefs of the Acoma Pueblo culture. Aragon has achieved recognition for his talents in various Native art markets, a collaboration with Walt Disney World, and received the honor of 2018 Phoenix Fashion Week Couture Designer of the Year. In 2023 Aragon launched Towering Stone, a men’s luxury & lifestyle fashion brand based in New Mexico, expressing the strength and resilience of the indigenous Pueblo culture through wearable art.
